On 29 of February, the specialists of the Federation of Employers of Miners of Ukraine took part in the meeting devoted to issues on the protection of interests of national producers, held in the Federation of Employers of Ukraine On the meeting was attended by representatives of associations of employers' organizations of the leading sectors of economy. It was stressed by the participants of the meeting that in the conditions of Ukraine's membership in the World Trade Organization practically only possibility to protect national producers from foreign aggression is the use of mechanisms of antidumping, special and compensatory measures. |

The Federation of Employers of Miners of Ukraine supported the draft law, developed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has elaborated the draft law of Ukraine on introducing amendments to article 8 of the Law of Ukraine «On the collection and accounting of a single contribution for obligatory state social insurance», that was considered and supported by the Federation of Employers of Miners of Ukraine. |

About it said the Chairman of the Federation Dmitry Firtash at meeting of the Council of Federation of Employers of Ukraine. He said that the development of the Ukrainian industry is hampered by a lack of strategic planning. There is not enough understanding how to develop Ukrainian industry, as it must be in a year, five or ten years, in order to ensure economic growth of Ukraine. |

The International Labour Organization (ILO), founded in 1919, and in 1946 became the first specialized agency of the UNITED NATIONS. Today, the ILO has 183 member countries-participants. Ukraine is a member of the ILO since 1954. ILO – is a unique tripartite organization, which brings together representatives of governments, employers and workers organizations for the joint development of policies and programmes. The ILO as the world organization is responsible for the development of International labour standards and carries out supervision over compliance with them. In cooperation with the countries-members of the organization, the ILO seeks to ensure the observance of labour standards at the legislative level and in practice. |
